Portmarnock Golf Club Interested In Hosting The Golf Major Open Championship

It has never been played outside the United Kingdom.

Portmarnock Golf Club in Dublin is interested in hosting the golf major the Open Championship.

It has never been played at a club outside the United Kingdom.

The tournament was last played on this island at Portrush, County Antrim, in 2019.

Government support would be required to underpin any bid, and the Department of Sport is "open" to engaging.
