Seamus Power and partner Matti Schmid slipped down the leaderboard but remain within reach.
Seamus Power and Matti Schmid remain in contention at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, despite losing ground during the third round.
The pair started the day just three shots off the lead but dropped into a share of 16th after a round of 64, which included five birdies and an eagle. While still a strong score, it wasn't enough to keep pace with the leaders.
At the top, Matt and Alex Fitzpatrick surged clear with a remarkable 15-under-par round of 57, moving to 30 under overall and opening up a significant advantage.
Power, who has been one of the standout Irish performers this week, will now look to close the gap in the final round as the format switches back to alternate shot.
