Séamus Power heads into the weekend six-under-par at the 3M Open, while Michael Kim stole the headlines with a course-record 59.

Séamus Power remains well in contention heading into the weekend at the PGA Tour's 3M Open after another solid round in Minnesota.

The Waterford golfer carded a three-under-par 68 for the second day in a row to move to six-under overall, leaving him tied for 24th and eight shots off the lead.

Power's round included an eagle at the 18th, birdies at the first, third and last, and just two bogeys as he continued his consistent start to the tournament.

At the top of the leaderboard, American Michael Kim produced a stunning 12-under-par 59 to set a new course record and move to 14-under overall.

Kim leads by three shots from Ben Kohles, Emiliano Grillo, and Chandler Phillips heading into the final two rounds.
