Mike Quirke has stepped down from his role as Laois Senior Football Manager with immediate effect.
He made the announcement on the Laois GAA social media channels this afternoon - less than 24 hours after his team's heavy loss to Westmeath.
After the match Quirke described the performance in the Leinster Championship quarter-finals as "horrendous" and "pathetic".
