After six losses from six in Division 2, Kildare have been relegated to Divison 3.
Kildare will play Division 3 League football next season following yesterday’s defeat to Donegal.
Alex Beirne's goal 14 minutes into the second half closed the gap to just two points between the sides.
But that was Kildare's final score of the game as Donegal ran out 0-17 to 1-8 winners and confirmed relegation for The Lilies.
