Julie-Ann Russell has announced her retirement from football, saying the 'time is right' to step away from the game.
The forward won 66 caps for the Republic of Ireland and was the Women's National League player of the year last season after an impressive campaign with Galway United.
Russell was also the Irish women's international player of the year in 2014, and had scored three goals in six games following her return to the international team last summer.
