Cork and Clare will contest this year's All Ireland Senior Hurling Championship final on Sunday July 2181.

Cork ended Limerick's five-in-a-row dream in Croke Park yesterday, with a 1-28 to 0-29 point win.

On Saturday, Clare beat Kilkenny 0-24 points to 2-16.

On the local hurling scene, the results from the UPMC Senior Hurling Championship preliminary round are as follows:

Celbridge 2-19 Ardclough 0-14 points

Naas 2-23 Maynooth 0-13 points

Confey 2-15 Leixlip 1-13

Eire 0g Corra Choill 1-13 Coill Dubh 1-10

In the Senior B Championship, the results are as follows:

Moorefield 8-21 Broadford 0-11 points

Clane 1-27 Maynooth 0-7 points

Naas 3-20 Kilcock 1-8.
