Xander Schauffele Replaces Rory McIlroy As World Number Two

McIlroy missed the cut at Royal Troon

Xander Schauffele has moved up to second in the world rankings.

His move up comes after his Open Championship win - his second career major win after winning the PGA Championship in May.

He leapfrogs Rory McIlroy who missed the cut at Troon and now drops to third.

Shane Lowry finished sixth at the Open so rises to 27th, with Scottie Scheffler retaining his place at the summit.
