Manchester City revealed the news earlier today.
Manchester City centre back Ruben Dias has been named The Football Writers' Association Player of the Year.
The Portuguese international has helped guide City to their third Premier League title in four seasons.
Dias arrived at the club from Benfica for 68 million euro last September and becomes the first defender to win the award in 32 years.
He has thanked his colleagues at the club.
