GAA

It's another big weekend for Kildare hurlers and women footballers.

At 6pm this evening, in the Leinster championship, Round 4, the Kildare senior hurlers play Kilkenny in Nowland Park.

The Kildare team was announced yesterday and is available on our website and social media.

Today’s commentary with Seamus Dillon and Ger McNally is in association with Hanlon Concrete Robertstown.

Also today:

Galway v Dublin, Pearse Stadium, 4.30;

Offaly v Wexford, Glenisk O’Connor Park, 6.

And in Munster: Tipperary v Clare, FBD Semple Stadium, 7.

The Kildare Ladies team to play Dubln in tomorrow’s Leinster football final in Croke Park at 12 noon has been announced

In the Ladies Leinster Intermediate Final, Westmeath currently lead Wexford by 1-9 to 2-3.

Meanwhile, in the Junior final Longford are trailing 8 points to 2-12 to Carlow.

 

Soccer

The Republic of Ireland play a home friendly against Grenada today at 5 o'clock.

In the League of Ireland Premier Division tonight, Sligo Rovers are at home to Galway United from quarter to eight.

One of the most dramatic days in Scottish Premiership history ended today as Celtic won 3-1 against Hearts.

Chelsea and Manchester City are currently drawing nil-all in the FA Cup final.

 

Rugby

Glasgow secured top spot in the United Rugby Championship with a narrow 26-22 win at Ulster.

Connacht beat Edinburgh by 26-5 and are into the quarter finals.

Today Munster must beat Lions in Thomond Park to advance to the quarter finals.

A win for Leinster over Ospreys will give them home venue for the quarters.

 

Golf

In golf, Rory McIlroy is five shots off the halfway lead in the PGA Championship after a bogey-free second round of 67.

Padraig Harrington and Shane Lowry are also through to the weekend. Tom McKibbin didnt't make the cut.

Round 3 has already started and McIlroy has just teed off.

 

Racing

Finally, racing today was in Navan and Wexford from 1 o'clock.
