The Kildare Intermediate and Junior Football Championships continue today, following the opening games last night.

In the Intermediate Championships last night, Ballyteague 1-12 Milltown 3-12 at St Conleth’s Park, while in the Junior Championship, Ardclough 0-3 Athgarvan 7-25.

There are seven games down for decision across the county today.

At Hawkfield, Cappagh play Castlemitchell in the Junior Championship at half-one.

There are then two more Intermediate games at the Hawkfield, with Grange playing Nurney at 5, followed by Castledermot and Two Mile House at half-six.

KFM will have live updates from both games at St Conleth’s Park with Ger McNally this afternoon.

Kilcullen play Monasterevin at half-three, before Confey play Staffan at quarter-past-five.

KFM will also have live updates from Clane with Seamus Dillon, where Robertstown play Kevins in the Junior Championship a thalf-three.

That’s followed by Leixlip playing Suncroft in the Intermediate Championship at 5 o’clock.

Soccer

In the SSE Airtricity Premier Division, Shamrock Rovers have extended their lead at the top of the table to ten points.

The Hoops beat Dundalk 3-2 last night, while Derry City were 2-nil winners at home to Sligo Rovers.

Galway United and Drogheda United played out a scoreless draw.

There are two games tomorrow.

Waterford are home to Bohemians at 3, before 2nd-placed St Pat’s are away to Shelbourne for 5.

In the Scottish Premiership today, St Mirren play St Johnstone after both teams began their respective top-flight campaigns with wins.

Aberdeen, who also triumphed in their opening fixture, head to winless Dundee.

Both games kick-off at 3 o’clock.

Golf

In golf, Áine Donegan is firmly in contention heading into the third round of the PIF London Championship.

The Clare golfer is tied for fourth on 7-under-par after a second-round 69, four shots behind leader Anna Huang.

Fellow Irish players Sara Byrne and Anna Foster also made the cut, both on 1-over-par.

On the PGA Tour, Séamus Power has missed the cut at the Wyndham Championship.

The Waterford man finished on 2-over-par after a difficult second round, with the cut coming at 3-under.

It’s a second successive missed cut for Power and ends his hopes of reaching the FedEx St Jude Championship.

Racing

And racing today is in Wexford and Kilbeggan from 2.15.

There’s also racing in Ascot.
