GAA
GAA focus in the county this weekend turns to hurling and the county camogie finals.
Naas are Kildare Senior camogie Champions for a fifth year in a row, after beating Cebridge 3-13 to 3-8 in a thrilling county final at Cedral St Conleth’s Park.
The sides were separated by just a point at half-time, before Naas pulled away in the second half to complete the five-in-a-row.
In the UPMC Intermediate Hurling Championship, Broadford play Leixlip in their semi-final at 2o’clock in Hawkfield.
Then at half-three, Kilcock and Wolfe Tones contest the UPMC Junior Hurling Final.
There’s also a Senior Hurling relegation semi-final down for decision from half-five, with Clane playing Coill Dubh.
And it’s also Camogie county finals this weekend.
The Junior B Final between Clane and Kilcock has just thrown-in.
At half-twelve, Staffan play Éire Óg Corra Choill in the Junior A final, before Wolfe Tones and Johnstownbridge contest the Intermediate Final at half-two.

In the World Cup Playoffs, The Ireland Women's team have one foot in next month's playoff final after comprehensively beating Kazakhstan 8-0 yesterday.
The second leg is in Cork on Tuesday night - the winners of the tie play Poland or Belgium for a place at next summer's World Cup in Brazil.
Waterford shocked Bohemians and booked their place to their first FAI Cup Final in 22 years.
Two second-half goals from the Blues saw them overcome the Dublin club last night.
Today, Galway United play Derry City for the other FAI Cup Final spot.

The Premier League returns today for the first time since the international break and it’s also the first round of fixtures since Manchester City were found guilty of more than 100 breaches of the league’s financia rules. City continue to deny wrongdoing and have lodged an appeal.
On the pitch, Arsenal play Leeds in the lunchtime game at half-twelve.
At 3 o’clock, Aston Villa play Brentford, Chelsea are home to Bournemouth, Ipswich play Fulham, while Sunderland play Brighton.
Then at half-five, Manchester United are at home to Spurs.
City themselves don’t play until tomorrow, when they travel to Liverpool at half-four, in what will be their first match since the guilty verdict.

In rugby, Connacht were beaten on the road in Glasgow last night, 36 points to 19.
Today, Munster are away to Ulster at haf past 5, with Ulster looking for their first win of the season.
While, Leinster will play their first competitive game at the newly revamped Laya Arena.
Leo Cullen's side play Cardiff at 7:45pm.
In the Energia AIL Division 1B, Naas play Blackrock College, and MU Barnhall are away to Garryowne, both games kick-off at 2.30pm.
Golf
In golf, Shane Lowry is currently 2 under through 6 in his third round at the Open De Espana.
Scotland's Grant Forrest is the overnight leader on 9 under.
Racing
And racing today is in Naas from 1.40.
