UPMC SHC continues, Man City & Liverpool meet in the Community Shield

There are two UPMC Senior Hurling Championship games down for decision this afternoon.

Confey and  Celbridge contest a Group B encounter at Manguard Plus Hawkfield at 2.30.

That will be followed by the Group A match between Naas and Coill Dubh.

Ardclough recorded a 2-19 to 1-17 victory over Leixlip.

There are also two FAI Cup ties this evening.

Derry City play host to Oliver Bond FC, who were only established five years ago.

And there is an all-Leinster Senior League clash between Lucan United and Killester-Donnycarney.


John Murphy and Conor Purcell will play alongside overnight leader Todd Clements on day three of the Irish Challenge at the K Club.

The Irish pair begin the day 11-under par, and two shots adrift of the English golfer.

Stephanie Meadow helps prop up the field ahead of her third round at the LPGA Tour’s Scottish Open.

She just made the cut on 1-under par.
