A bogey at the last checked his progress, with a second round 68 leaving him on 8-under par.

American trio Cole Hammer, Harry Higgs and Andrew Putnam jointly lead in Georgia on 12-under par.

SOCCER

Newbridge Town claimed a third win in a row last night, beating Larkview Boys 8-nil in Leinster Senior League at Station Road.

Ballyoulster United were 2-nil winners at Ratoath.
