The news has emerged from Switzerland this morning
Sepp Blatter and Michel Platini have been acquitted of financial wrongdoing.
Both men had denied the charges, which related to a 2 million Swiss franc payment made to Platini in 2011.
Blatter was at that time FIFA President, while Platini is a former UEFA President.
The pair were cleared of fraud mismanagement at the Extraordinary Appeals Chamber of the Swiss Criminal Court near
