Second seed Danill Medvedev took the first set of his third round match Reilly Opelka

Serena Williams is in third round action at the French Open.

The first set of her match with Danielle Collins is going with serve.

Earlier, Anastasya Sabalenka became the latest seed to fall in the women’s draw.

The third seed was beaten in three sets by Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.

The Russian will face Victoria Azarenka in the last-16.


Sixth seed Alexander Zverev will face Kei Nishikori in the last-16.

Zverve beat Laslo Djere in straight sets, while Nishikori’s opponent Henri Laaksonen retired hurt.
