Rovers go three points clear after another busy night of action in the League of Ireland Premier Division.
Shamrock Rovers strengthened their position at the top of the League of Ireland Premier Division with a 3-1 win away to Galway United on Friday night.
The Hoops now have 34 points from 16 matches, three clear of St Pat's, who stayed in touch with an impressive 4-1 victory over Waterford in Richmond Park.
Bohemians moved into third place after beating Dundalk 3-1 at Oriel Park, while Drogheda United edged Derry City 1-0 at Sullivan and Lambe Park.
At Tolka Park, Shelbourne and Sligo Rovers shared the points in a scoreless draw.
With St Pat's continuing to apply pressure and Bohemian's climbing the table, the title race is beginning to take shape, but Shamrock Rovers remain the team to catch.
