Tottenham Hotspur have contacted police after defender Kevin Danso was subjected to racist abuse.
Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed they've reported racist abuse aimed at Kevin Danso to authorities following their 2-2 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion.
The incident came after a late equaliser in the game, with the club stating that the defender received what they described as "vile" and "dehumanising" messages on social media.
In a statement, Spurs said the abuse had been passed on to police and relevant platforms, stressing that such behaviour has no place in football.
The club also reiterated its support for Danso, adding that while performances can be criticised, discrimination is never accepted.
