Newcastle boss Steve Bruce has left the club by mutual consent.
He goes with the team second from bottom in the Premier League, having failed to win any of their eight top flight games this season.
There was speculation Bruce would be sacked following the Saudi-backed takeover of Newcastle earlier this month.
But he remained in charge for his 1000th game in management in Sunday's defeat to Tottenham.
