In the Premier League, reigning champions Arsenal suffered their first defeat of the season yesterday, beaten 3-nil away to Brighton.

Aston Villa won 3-2 at Spurs, Everton beat Ipswich 1-nil, Newcastle beat Hull 2-1, while Coventry picked up heir first Premier League win in 25 years with a 1-nil victory away to Nottingham Forest.

There are four games today.

At 2 o’clock, Bournemouth are home to Liverpool, Leeds play Crystal Palace, and unbeaten Manchester City are at home to Sunderland.

Then at half-four, Manchester United are away to Fulham as they look to bounce back from a difficult start to the season.

Golf

In golf, Rory McIlroy is in contention going into the final day of the BMW Championship Wentworth.

The current Masters champion finished his round three with and eagle on the 18th leaving him on 11 under par.

He's due out on course at 12:25 today.

Shane Lowry finished on 7 under yesterday – and is set to start his final round in the next hour.

Italy's Filippo Celli and Spain's Manuel Elvira are tied at the top of the leaderboard on 13 under.

Racing

And racing today is in Listowel from 2.18.
