Sunday Sport Update: Kilcullen vs Offaly's Clonbullogue in Final

Naas & Kilcullen in Leinster Finals; Busy January for County/Club hurlers & footballers; 3 Premier League Games Today

Naas footballers are into the Leinster Senior Club Final

Yesterday, they beat Wexford side Shelmaliers by 2-15 to 1-13 after extra time at Croke Park.

Naas trailed for most of the game.

A 2nd half Darragh Kirwan goal brought them back into contention.

Eamonn Callaghan levelled the scores from a free with the last kick of normal time.

A late Dermot Hanifin goal in extra time capped a famous 5 point win.

They will play Kilmacud Crokes in the final on January 9th

The Dublin champions beat Portarlington by 1-11 to 0-12.

Kilcock’s Leinster Club Intermediate Championship campaign ended, after a 1-9 to 1-7 defeat to Clara in Tullamore.

There was just a point between the sides at the break 1-5 to 1-4, the Kilcock goal from Finlay Nairn after 9 minutes.

But too many wides cost them a two point defeat.

Kilcullen are into the Leinster Junior Final, following their 2-10 to 2-3 victory over Castletown Finea Coole Whitehall in Mullingar.

The Rags were always in control, including a Tim Carey goal one minute into the 2nd half.

Despite two 2nd half penalty goals reducing their 10 point lead to 4 points, an injury time goal by Ciaran O’Brien closed the game out.

On January 15th, they’ll play the winners of today’s other semi final won by Clonbullogue 3-16 to Kilkenny's O'Loughlin Gaels 6 points
