Rory McIlroy hasa one-shot lead into the final round of the CJ Cup in South Carolina.

A win or outright second place, if current number one Scottie Scheffler finishes out the top 35 (he's currently in a tie for 47th), would send McIlroy, who’s on 13-under, to the top of the rankings for the first time since 2020.

He fired a four-under-par 67, to stand 13 under, after a round including two eagles, three birdies and three bogeys in the round.

Shane Lowry is just outside the top 10 on seven under par.

Seamus Power is three under.
