Eadestown play Portlaoise in Leinster Quarter Final.

Eadestown play Portlaoise in the Leinster Ladies Senior Club Championship Quarter Final in Portlaoise this afternoon.

Throw in is at 2pm.

There will be live updates on KFM with  Tara Byrne.

Last year Eadestown were knocked out of the competition by Dublin champions Foxrock Cabinteely.

Manager Brian Willis hopes his side can learn from that experience.

It is a busy day of County Finals throughout the country.

Ballyhale Shamrocks and James Stephens contest the Kilkenny Senior Hurling Final at Nowlan Park at 2.30

Blackrock take on St Finbarrs in the Cork Senior Hurling Final at Pairc Ui Chaoimh at 4.00

Kilmacud Crokes and Na Fianna meet in the Dublin Senior Football Final at Parnell Park at 4.30.

 


SOCCER

Liverpool welcome Manchester City to Anfield this afternoon for their first Premier League meeting of the season.

The two sides go into the game in quite different circumstances.

Champions City are second and unbeaten while Jurgen Klopp's side are 11th with just two wins from eight games so far this campaign.

Kick-off on Merseyside is at 4.30

Before that Southampton host West Ham from 2-o'clock.

While at the same time Newcastle are away to Manchester United,

Aston Villa host Chelsea and Leeds take on leaders Arsenal at Elland Road.

The Gunners won this fixture 4-1 last season

The line-up for the Extra.ie FAI Cup final will be decided today.

The Ryan McBride hosts the first of this season's semi-finals as Derry entertain Treaty United from 2-o'clock.

Then at a 4.45 Waterford and Shelbourne meet in the other last four clash, which is at the RSC.


There's one game in the Premier Division of the SSE Airtricity League this evening.

Drogheda host three-in-a-row chasing Shamrock Rovers from 5-o'clock.

Stephen Bradley's side can go eight points clear at the top of the table with a win.

Clonmullion and  Suncroft play in Round 2 of the FAI Junior Cup

Allenwood Celtic play  Straffan.

Naas United meet  Rathangan in KDFL Senior Division
 
In the Scottish Premiership Rangers can cut Celtic's lead at the top of the table to two points this afternoon.

They're away to Motherwell from 12 midday.


RUGBY

Eadestown’s Tadhg Beirne scored a try to help Munster to a much needed win in the United Rugby Championship last night.

They beat the Bulls 31-17 at Thomond Park.

 

SNOOKER

Ken Doherty takes on England's Kyren Wilson in a Northern Ireland Open qualifier this morning.

The tournament proper gets underway tomorrow.


RACING

There's an eight race card at Naas today from 1.10

While the first of eight races at Cork goes to post 10 minutes later.
