Sunday Sports Update: Kildare Women's Footballers In Leinster Action Today.

The Kildare hurlers beat London yesterday.

The Kildare hurlers made it two wins from two in the Christy Ring Cup yesterday afternoon.

They defeated London in St Conleth’s Park on a scoreline of 3-35 to 3-14.

Despite a rather convincing victory, manager David Herity said there are still things to work on ahead of their next game against Derry.

The Munster hurling championship gets underway this afternoon with defending champions Limerick taking on Cork.

The clash of the All Ireland finalists throws in at 4pm.

Before that, league winners Waterford face Tipperary at 2pm.

The quarter finals of the Connacht Senior Football Championship will be decided today.

London face Leitrim at Ruislip at 2:30 while New York play host to Sligo at 7:30.

The Kildare senior women’s footballers play Wexford in the first round of the Intermediate Leinster championship this afternoon.

Throw-in in Manguard Plus Hawkfield is at 2pm and Kfm will have live updates with Tara Byrne.

The Lillies beat Wexford in the league already this season, but manager Sean Finnegan knows today’s game will be a totally different test.

SOCCER

There are two games on in the Premier League this afternoon.

Newcastle play host to Leicester City and West Ham take on Burnley.

It'll be the first game for the Clarets since getting rid of manager Sean Dyche during the week.

Both games kick off at 2:15pm.

Meanwhile, Liverpool await the winners of Crystal Palace and Chelsea in the FA Cup Final.

That semi final kicks off at Wembley at 4.30pm.

Celtic and Rangers do battle once again in the semi finals of the Scottish Cup

The Old Firm rivals meet at 2pm with a final against Hearts the prize for the winners.

The Bhoys had a 2-1 win over their neighbours in the Scottish Premiership 2 weeks ago.

In the semi final of the FAI Intermediate Cup yesterday, two late goals from Rockmount United saw them defeat Maynooth University Town 3-1.

HORSE RACING

The BoyleSports Gold Cup Novice Chase is the feature race of the day at Fairyhouse this afternoon.

That one goes to post at 5 to 5 while the first of 7 kicks off at 2pm.

There's also a 8 race card in Cork where the action gets underway at 1:10pm
