Governing body the IABA has voted to disaffiliate with the controversial IBA and align itself fully with new organisation World Boxing.
The motion was passed at the association AGM in Belfast, with 81 per cent of members present voting in favour.
Olympic organisers had threatened to drop boxing from the games if countries continued to associate with the International Boxing Association.
