Eileen Gleeson's side are in Cardiff for the first leg of their playoff final against Wales

The Republic of Ireland begin their final push towards a place at Euro 2025 this evening.

Eileen Gleeson's side are in Cardiff for the first leg of their playoff final against Wales.

Megan Connolly is expected to come into the defence to replace the injured Aoife Mannion for the game.

Gleeson says the teams are 'evenly matched' and has stressed the importance of being in the tie heading into next Tuesday's return leg in Dublin.

Kick-off at the Cardiff City Stadium is at a 7.15pm.
