Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been fined £30,000 by the FA after being sent-off in their Premier League win against Manchester City earlier this month.

The German reacted angrily towards the officials after a foul wasn't given on Mo Salah and apologised for his reaction following the game.

The FA says he accepted his behaviour was "improper".

Shamrock Rovers are without Graham Burke and Jack Byrne for tonight’s Conference League game with Gent.

Having secured the league title at the weekend, Rovers boss Stephen Bradley has vowed to pick a strong team.

There’s an 8pm start at Tallaght Stadium.

And Cristiano Ronaldo is likely to return to action for Manchester United tonight, as they welcome Sheriff to Old Trafford.

IRFU Performance Director David Nucifora has confirmed that eight women turned down the union’s offer of professional contracts.

In August, the IRFU announced that women’s fifteens players would be centrally contracted for the first time.

Earlier this week it was reported that some had shied away from putting pen to paper.

Nucifora says four of those women were based in England, with another four still based here.
