In last night's premier league action, Brighton snatched a 1-1 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge when Danny Welbeck scored an equaliser in injury time after Romelu Lukaku put the home side in front after 28 minutes.

Champions Manchester City made it ten unbeaten games in a row when they defeated Brentford 1-0 thanks to a Phil Foden goal in the 16th minute.

Championship leaders Bournemouth continue their promotion push tonight.

Scott Parker's charges meet Cardiff at the Vitality Stadium.

United Rugby Championship organisers say they'll consider an alternative date for the meeting of Ulster and Leinster.

The game - scheduled to take place on New Year's Day - was postponed yesterday.

It follows the emergence of further positive Covid-19 cases in the Ulster squad.

Glasgow's clash with Edinburgh and the Dragons against Cardiff have also been called off.

Defending champion Gerwyn Price is through to the fourth round of the PDC World Darts Championship easing past Dutchman Dirk van Duijvenbode.

The Welshman won 4-1 to set-up a quarter-final tie with Michael Smith - who beat Jonny Clayton 4-3.

Scotland's Gary Anderson is also through, after coming from 3-nil down to overcome Ian White 4-3.

Part-timer Alan Soutar saw off seventh-seed Jose de Sousa of Portugal with a 4-3 victory, while Callan Rydz is still to drop a set this tournament after his 4-nil win over Nathan Aspinall.

Raymond Smith against Mervyn King is among the matches in today's aternoon session, before former champion Peter Wright takes on Ryan Searle in the evening.
