Ryder Cup Opening Morning Pairings to Be Announced This Afternoon

The pairings for the opening morning of the Ryder Cup will be revealed this afternoon.
European captain Luke Donald and USA skipper Zach Johnson will select 8 players each for the foursomes in Rome.
The American team is looking to win on European soil for the first time since 1993.
GAELIC GAMES
The Limerick senior hurlers have 14 nominations for this year's PWC GAA / GPA All Stars.
Treaty trio Aaron Gillane, Kyle Hayes and Diarmuid Byrnes have been nominated for the Hurler of the Year award.
Byrnes took the accolade last year.
Clare have received nine nominations, All Ireland finalists Kilkenny have eight players up for awards, Galway received six nominations and Cork four.
Two Clare players are in the running for Young Hurler of the Year - Mark Rodgers and Adam Hogan along with Cork's Ciaran Joyce.
The ceremony will take place on Friday November 17th.
SOCCER
Cork City have appointed Richie Holland as manager for the rest of the season.
He had been an assistant to interim manager Liam Buckley, who will return to his role as sporting director.
Cork are second from bottom in the SSE Airtricity Premier Division and on course to play a First Division side in the relegation/promotion playoff.

Today's race meeting at Bellewstown has passed an inspection and begins at 1.40.
A 7 race jumps card is scheduled for Clonmel from 1.55.
