SOCCER

Manchester City and Liverpool are into the Champions League semi finals.

City drew 0-0 with Atletico Madrid in Spain, squeezing through 1-0 on aggregate.

They will now face Real Madrid.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp insists qualifying for a Champions League semi-final should never be taken for granted.

They secured a last four tie against Villareal with a 6-4 aggregate victory over Benfica, despite a 3-all draw at Anfield in the second leg.

Klopp made seven changes to his team from Sunday's draw at Manchester City, and says he cannot criticise his players despite some poor defending last night:

Liverpool will play Villareal on Wednesday, 27th April in Anfield at 8pm.

The second-leg takes place on Tuesday, 3rd May in Estadio de la Ceramica at 8pm.

In the Europa League tonight, West Ham go to Lyon for the second leg of their quarter final, with the match tied at 1-1

Rangers host Braga at Ibrox, 1-0 down from the first leg.

The 55 year old played in 3 World Cups and lined out for Real Madrid and Napoli at club level.
