The fixture details have been confirmed for the Kildare minor footballers to play Tyrone in the All Ireland Semi Final.

The game will take place on Friday, June 19th, in Kingspan Breffni Park in Cavan at 7.35pm.

 

SOCCER

The 2026 World Cup officially gets underway in Mexico City this evening.

Mexico open their group-stage campaign against South Africa at Azteca Stadium.

An opening ceremony will take place ahead of tonight's match - with Shakira and Burna Boy performing this year's World Cup anthem.

The first game of the tournament gets underway at 8 o'clock.

 

FIFA President Gianni Infantino defended ticket prices for the World Cup at a press conference in the Mexican capital last night.

Fan groups have expressed their outrage over what FIFA are charging, with the states of New York and New Jersey opening an investigation into ticket pricing.

 

Wolves have reportedly sacked their head coach Rob Edwards this morning, after seven months in the role.

The 43-year-old was unable to prevent their relegation from the Premier League this season.

It's believed that Portuguese coach Cesar Peixoto is being lined up as his replacement.

The World Cup of Darts begins today in Frankfurt.

Ireland's team of Willie O'Connor and Mickey Mansell open their Group D campaign against Singapore.

They're due at the oche at 7.30pm.

 

RACING

There is an eight-race card on offer in Leopardstown this evening
