Tom McKibbin is in a battle to make the cut on day two at the Italian Open.

The Holywood native is level par overall through nine holes of his second round, leaving him one shot outside the projected cut mark.

Sebastian Friedrichsen of Austria is the leader on nine-under-par.

He tees off at 6.43 Irish time this evening.

Darren Clarke is two-under through four holes of his second round, while Dublin amateur Jody Fanagan is nine-over.

Richard Green and Hiroyuki Fujita share top spot on 7 under.
