Tuesday Lunch Sports Update: Preparations Continue For Kildare Footballers.

A number of games down for decision in the Premier League tonight.

Kildare footballers get their O’Byrne Cup campaign underway tomorrow evening against Wexford.

The game throws in at 8pm in St Martin’s GAA, Piercetown and Kfm will have full commentary with Ger McNally and Peter McConnon.

Manager Glenn Ryan has named his team which is available here.

On Thursday evening the Kildare hurlers play Carlow in the Kehoe Cup in Manguard Plus Hawkfield.

Kfm will also have live coverage of that game with Seamus Dillon.

SOCCER

Newcastle manager Eddie Howe is urging his players to embrace their position in the Premier League's top four.

The Magpies are in third ahead of tonight's visit to the Emirates to take on leaders Arsenal.

Kick off is at 7.45.

At the same time, Leicester play Fulham while Everton play Brighton.

Michael van Gerwen insists "no one is going to stop" him winning a fourth PDC World Darts Championship.

The Dutchman will play Michael Smith in tonight's final at Alexandra Palace after a whitewash victory over Dimitri van den Bergh in the last-four.

Smith - who is currently ranked fourth in the world - is bidding for a first world title.

MOTORSPORT

American rally driver Ken Block has died following a snowmobile accident.

The driver-turned-businessman - who co-founded the sportswear company DC Shoes - was 55.

Block, known for performing daring stunts behind the wheel, finished second overall three times in Rally America, and competed in the World Rally Championship between 2007 and 2018.
