Moorefield manager, Ger Brennan, has been appointed as the new manager of Louth following Mickey Harte's dramatic departure last month

Joining Brennan will be former Ireland rugby international James Downey as High Performance Coach, former Down All-Ireland winner James McCartan and DCU professor Niall Moyna as selectors, while Moorefield's David Whyte will serve as transitional coach.

Brennan spent a season as coach of Carlow under St Kevin's clubman Niall Carew, has coached Wicklow outfit Bray Emmet’s while he is also in his second season as manager of Moorefield.

Manchester United defender Raphael Varane believes they're a much better side than their stuttering start to the season suggests.

They host Galatasaray in the Champions League this evening having endured their worst ever start to a Premier League campaign.

Kick off for their Group A encounter is at 8pm.

Elsewhere, Arsenal are away to Lens in Group B.

The P-G-M-O-L will reportedly release the audio of conversations between match officials in Saturday's Premier League clash of Tottenham and Liverpool.

The latter had a Luis Diaz goal wrongly ruled out for offside following what's been described as a significant human error.

Spurs went on to win the game 2-1.

Liverpool had made a formal request for the audio to be released.


SNOOKER
