SOCCER

Liverpool have confirmed striker Alexander Isak has undergone surgery on a broken ankle.

The Sweden international was forced off after scoring in their 2-1 Premier League victory over Tottenham on Saturday.

Fulham made it back to back Premier League wins with a hard fought 1-nil victory over Nottingham Forest last night.

Arsenal and Crystal Palace go head to head in the last of the English League Cup quarter-finals tonight.

The two sides meet at the Emirates from 8pm - with the winner set to face Chelsea in the last four.

Tonight is Palace's third match in five days.

 

RUGBY

Ciarán Frawley is set to join Connacht from Leinster next summer ahead of the 2026-27 season.

The Skerries native will link up with Stuart Lancaster, who coached him for six years at Leinster.

Frawley has made 117 appearances for Leinster and earned nine caps for Ireland.

 

DARTS

World number two Luke Humphries eased into round three of the World Darts Championship last night with a 3-nil win over Paul Lim.

Derry's Daryl Gurney takes on England Callan Rydz from 1:40pm.

The evening session sees Limerick's William O'Connor come up against World Number 3 Michael van Gerwen at 9:10pm.

Antrim's Josh Rock rounds out the day's matches at 10:10pm as he comes up against Joe Comito.
