Male and female intercounty players will receive a further €250 from the annual player support scheme as part of today's Budget 2027 announcement.
The increase will bring the overall State support package to €8.2million, with players receiving an average of over €2,000 annually.
The Gaelic Players Association had sought a further €700 per player in their pre-Budget submission last week.
