Victory For Bohs Over Shamrock Rovers Last Night

The win cuts Rovers lead at the top of the table to 9 points

Bohemians closed to within nine points of SSE Airtricity Men's Premier Division leaders Shamrock Rovers last night.

Bohs were 2-0 winners at Dalymount Park thanks to first-half goals from Dayle Rooney and James Clarke.

Elsewhere, Drogheda United earned a point from their trip to Cork City after it finished 1-1 at Turner's Cross.

St Pats' poor form continued as they lost 1-0 to Derry City, while Sligo Rovers picked up a 2-1 win over Galway United.

At the RSC, it finished 2-2 between Waterford and Shelbourne. 

In the First Division, leaders Dundalk slumped to a 1-0 defeat to Finn Harps at Finn Park .

Cobh Ramblers took full advantage to move to within a point of the summit after their 1-0 victory over Kerry.

Longford Town secured a 3-2 win over local rivals Athlone Town, while UCD won 3-1 away at Bray Wanderers.

At Market's Field, Treaty United and Wexford drew 0-0.
