They defeated Crumlin United 1-0.
Maynooth University Town advanced to the next round of the Charlie Cahill Cup with a 1-0 win over Crumlin United last night.
Played in blustery conditions on the astro-turf pitch, Jack O'Connor scored the all-important goal in the 67th minute, with an excellent right footed shot, rifled into the top corner.
Crumlin did have their chances, but the home side's defence stood firm and indeed, Maynooth could've doubled their advantage in the 76th minute, but Paddy O'Sullivan's free was well saved by Kian Clarke.
The Dublin side are currently top of the Leinster Senior League Senior Sunday table, but it was the Kildare team that progressed to Round 3.
