Kildare GAA legend Jim Clarke, has passed away

Tonight, the Kildare Footballers play Wexford in the first round of the O'Byrne Cup.

Glenn Ryan’s team travel to Wexford.

Throw in at St.Martin's GAA is at 8pm.

In Leinster's other O'Byrne Cup fixtures, Dublin face Wicklow in Baltinglass, with Meath away to Carlow, Louth to play Westmeath and Laois at home to Longford.

All Ireland senior football champions Kerry are in McGrath Cup action in Munster against Cork at Pairc Ui Rinn this evening.

Davy Fitzgerald began his new spell on the Waterford sideline by watching his hurlers overcome Tipperary by 21 points to 1-15 in the Munster League.

Kildare GAA stalwart and Ballymore Eustace GAA member, Jim Clarke, has passed away.

Mr. Clarke was a member of the Kildare team which won the Leinster Final in 1956 and was manager of the Kildare team which won the All Ireland U21 title in 1965 as well as Leinster championship successes in the following two years.

He also managed the Kildare minors to a Leinster title in 1973.

The late Jim also won county titles as a player at all grades with his club, Ballymore Eustace.

18 year old Republic of Ireland striker Evan Ferguson scored for the second Premier League game in a row as Brighton beat Everton 4-1 at Goodison Park last night.

Another Republic of Ireland youngster - Andrew Moran - came off the bench to make his debut for Brighton in the game.

Ferguson became the youngest player to score in consecutive Premier League games since 2009.

The result leaves Everton just a point above the drop zone and their manager Frank Lampard under increasing pressure.

Leaders Arsenal were held to a scoreless draw by Newcastle, as Manchester United opened up a five point cushion in fourth spot with a 3-0 win over Bournemouth.

United forward Marcus Rashford scored for the third successive game.

Elsewhere, Fulham won 1-0 at Leicester.

Tonight, it's Tottenham away to Crystal Palace, Leeds United versus West Ham United, Southampton against Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa to take on Wolves.
