Kildare GAA legend Jim Clarke, has passed away

Tonight, the Kildare Footballers play Wexford in the first round of the O'Byrne Cup.

Davy Fitzgerald began his new spell on the Waterford sideline by watching his hurlers overcome Tipperary by 21 points to 1-15 in the Munster League.

Kildare GAA stalwart and Ballymore Eustace GAA member, Jim Clarke, has passed away.
Mr. Clarke was a member of the Kildare team which won the Leinster Final in 1956 and was manager of the Kildare team which won the All Ireland U21 title in 1965 as well as Leinster championship successes in the following two years.
He also managed the Kildare minors to a Leinster title in 1973.
The late Jim also won county titles as a player at all grades with his club, Ballymore Eustace.

18 year old Republic of Ireland striker Evan Ferguson scored for the second Premier League game in a row as Brighton beat Everton 4-1 at Goodison Park last night.
Another Republic of Ireland youngster - Andrew Moran - came off the bench to make his debut for Brighton in the game.
Ferguson became the youngest player to score in consecutive Premier League games since 2009.

Michael Smith is the PDC World champion for the first time after he defeated Michael Van Gerwen by 7 sets to 4 in London.
Smith had a nine dart finish in the decider.
