The Ireland 'A' team to play an All Blacks 15 on Friday will be announced on Wednesday

Mo Salah equalled Steven Gerrard's tally of 41 European goals for Liverpool last night.

The Egyptian was on target in their 2-0 win over Napoli - though they still finish as runners-up in Group A.

Manager Jurgen Klopp says his side deserved the three points:

Rangers completed their Group A campaign with six defeats out of six, losing 3-1 at home to Ajax.

Tottenham advanced from Group D, following a 2-1 win away to Marseille.

Celtic conclude their Champions League campaign tonight.

The Scottish champions will finish bottom of Group F, regardless of their result away to champions Real Madrid.

Erling Haaland is missing for Manchester City, as they complete their Group G duties at home to Sevilla.

In Group E, Chelsea’s campaign concludes at home to Dinamo Zagreb.

City and Chelsea are both already through to the knockout phase.

GAELIC GAMES

All-Ireland champions Limerick will begin their Allianz Hurling League campaign away to Cork in early February.

Football holders Kerry are set to begin their Division One campaign away to Donegal a week earlier.

Mayo - managed by Kevin McStay - are set to play Galway in their first outing on Saturday, January 28th.

A provisional fixture list has been circulated to counties ahead of the new season, and could be the subject of change.

Sean Power has been appointed as the new manager of the Waterford senior camogie team.

The Deise reached the semi-final stage last year before losing to Cork.

Power has guided the county to All-Ireland success at minor and under-21 level in the past.
