Kildare minor footballers play Offaly tonight; Leixlip Liffey Celtics player included on Ireland U2O women's basketball team.

The Kildare minor footballers play Offaly in the first round of the Electric Ireland Leinster Football Championship tonight.

Throw in in Manguard Plus Hawkfield is at 7.30pm and Kfm will have live updates.

Meanwhile, the Kildare U20 footballers have been drawn against Louth in the Quarter Final of the Leinster Championship.

That game will be played on Tuesday the 11th of April in Stabannon, Co Louth and throw in at 7.30.

GOLF

Five time Masters champion Tiger Woods is certain Ireland's Rory McIlroy will win the tournament during his career.

Mcllroy makes his 15th appearance at Augusta this week, bidding to win the only major which has eluded him.

Woods is confident his friend will be slipping the green jacket on his shoulders before long.

SOCCER

18 year old Republic of Ireland striker Evan Ferguson scored his 4th Premier League goal for Brighton last night in their 2-nil win over Bournemouth.

After their victory, Brighton are just 4 points off the Champions League spots.

Elsewhere, Chelsea and Liverpool played out a scoreless draw at Stamford Bridge.

Leeds United earned an important 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest.

And Leicester remain in the relegation zone after losing 2-1 at home to Aston Villa.

The win takes Unai Emery's Villa up to seventh place in the table.

Tonight, Manchester United host Brentford, and it's West Ham versus Newcastle.

Casemiro remains suspended for Man United, who have failed to win any of their last three Premier League games.

Both of those matches kick off at 8pm.

In the Leinster Senior League tonight, Newbridge Town’s Sunday 1A side plays Inchicore Athletic in Station Rd at 7.45

Its 6th v 4th in the league and an important 3 points up for grabs!

The Ireland U20 women’s basketball team was named last night for the upcoming international season.
