Sarsfields will play holders Eadestown in the Ladies Senior Football Championship final on Friday

Sarsfields booked their place in the Ladies Senior Football Championship final last night, with a victory over Kilcullen in their rescheduled semi final.

Kildare star Roisin Byrne scored 2-4 in the win, which finished on a scoreline of 4-4 to 0-13.

Sarsfields will now play holders Eadestown in the final on Friday night in Manguard Park, with the game throwing in at 8pm.

Cork's Alan Cadogan has announced his retirement from inter-county hurling.

Cadogan made his senior debut with the Rebels back in 2014 and walks away with two Munster titles.

In a statement, the Douglas clubman thanked the Cork management, the county board and his family for their 'belief and support.'

Derry GAA have confirmed additional members of Mickey Harte's management team.

Former All-Star Enda Muldoon will remain in situ, while Paul McFlynn and Matt Godfrey will also link up with the Oak Leaf county.

Meanwhile, former Derry boss Ciaran Meenagh will be part of Conor Laverty's set-up in Down next season.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta believes his team had the chances to beat Lens in the Champions League last night.

The Gunners lost 2-1 in France, despite taking a first-half lead through Gabriel Jesus.

The result leaves Arsenal second in Group B.

Elsewhere, in Group A, Manchester United slumped to a 3-2 defeat at home to Galatasaray.

Rasmus Hoijland scored twice for the hosts at Old Trafford.

Tonight, holders Manchester City are away to RB Leipzig from 8pm in Group G.

At the same time in Group F, Newcastle will look to build on their opening draw with AC Milan when they welcome PSG to St. James' Park.

Lyle Foster and Jacob Bruun Larsen scored the goals for Vincent Kompany's side in a 2-1 win over Luton Town at Kenilworth Road.
