SOCCER

Chelsea finished strongly to beat Cardiff City by three goals to one in the English League Cup quarter-finals last nigh

Tonight, Brentford make the trip to Manchester City, while holders Newcastle play Fulham.

 

Defending champions Celtic visit Dundee United in the Scottish Premiership this evening, chasing a first win under new manager Wilfried Nancy.

The Frenchman's already under pressure having lost all three of his games at the helm so far - including Sunday's League Cup final against St Mirren.

Victory tonight would take the Parkhead side three points off leaders Hearts.


DARTS

Gerwyn Price eased past Adam Gawlas to reach the second round of the World Darts Championship.

The Welshman dropped just two legs as he began his quest for a second title with a routine win.

Raymond van Barneveld and James Wade are among the players in action later today at the Alexandra Palace.

 

BOXING

Undefeated world super-middleweight champion Terence Crawford has announced his retirement from boxing.

The 38-year-old enjoyed 42 wins in his career, with 31 of those wins via knockout.

 

RACING
