The International Olympic Committee says its support of Ukraine hasn't wavered - despite provisionally lifting a ban on Russia.
The decision means Russian athletes could be able to compete at the LA Games in two years.
There's no decision yet on whether Russia can use their flag, colours and anthem at the Games.
