Liam Cahill will remain in charge of the Tipperary senior hurlers through to 2029.

The Ballingarry clubman was ratified by the county board on Monday night.

Cahill stepped into the senior role in 2023, and guided the Premier to the All-Ireland title last year.

SOCCER

Shamrock Rovers manager Stephen Bradley insists it's only half-time in their Champions League qualifying tie with Ararat-Armenia.

But he admits he was frustrated by the two second-half goals they conceded in Yerevan last night.

It means that, just like in the last round against Floriana, Rovers will have to overturn a 2-0 deficit at Tallaght Stadium next Tuesday.

This evening, Bohemians will play their final European game at Dalymount Park before redevelopment works begin next year.

Alan Reynolds' side welcome Ballkani of Kosovo to Phibsborough for the opening leg of their Conference League qualifier.

That game gets underway from 6 o'clock.

Women's Premier Division champions Athlone Town get their European campaign underway this morning.

They face Macedonian outfit Skopje in the first-round semi-final of Champions League qualifying in Poland.

Win that, and the Midlands side will book their place in Saturday's first qualifying round final.

Kick-off in Sosnowiec is at 10 o'clock Irish Time.

Chelsea's Morgan Rogers says he can't wait to get going at his new club, after becoming the most expensive British player ever.

The England international sealed his move to Stamford Bridge from Aston Villa last night, for a record-breaking 117-million-pounds.

Rogers says he's excited by the "project" at Chelsea and "where the club is heading".

CYCLING

Belgian cyclist Remco Evenepoel will go for a hat-trick of stage wins in the Tour de France today.

He took victory in yesterday's time trial, to shave 28 seconds off the overall lead of defending champion Tadej Pogacar.

Riders face a 174-point-kilometre flat route in today's Stage 17.

Ireland's Ben Healy remains 67th in general classification.
