No Elections for Kildare GAA Convention; 6 Premier League Games Tonight; World Amateur Golf Title for Kildare Pair

 

The upcoming Kildare GAA Convention will be election free.

All the outgoing officers will be returned unopposed.

The only change will be the PRO position.  Outgoing PRO Dave Cahill is not going forward and will be replaced by Naas’ Lorraine O’Connor.

The convention takes place on-line next Wednesday at 7.30pm

The St Jude's clubman won 8 All Ireland medals.

Two young golfers from North Kildare have claimed the inaugural World Amateur Match Race title in Dubai.

Cormac Browne from Donadea, who is a member of Edenderry Golf Club, and James O’Brien from Caragh, who is a member of Rathcore Golf Club, took the World title over an international field of 16 teams.

Two days of competition ended with the Kildare pair finishing with a seventeen-under par total to take first place by 3 shots.

They had entered the final day in a three-way tie for the lead teams fromEngland and Canada.
