Ruth McDonnell on 'Ruairi's Dancing Rainbow', Inspired by her Son

Kildare's Culture Corner

Tuesday, 24 March 2026 - 20 minutes

Kildare's Ruth McDonnell talks about her book ‘Ruairí’s Dancing Rainbow️’ which is a children’s book inspired by her son Ruairí, who she lost to a rare neurological condition in 2022.

This book takes you on a journey where Ruairí’s creativity and colourful imagination shaped how he plays, and how life’s little pleasures can bring so much joy!
