Summit taking place in Brussels
US President Joe Biden is in Brussels to attend the NATO summit, with leaders putting plans in place to ensure it continues providing security beyond 2030.
The White House says the 30 member countries will agree to revise the approach to Russia’s aggressive policies and actions - and security challenges posed by China.
The 78 year-old says NATO is "critically important" for American interests.
Speaking just before the start of a summit of the defence alliance in Brussels, President Biden also said there are concerns about the behaviour of two countries:
Mr. Biden says he won't be pushed around by Vladimir Putin:
NATO leaders will also discuss climate change, cyber-security, and Afghanistan.
Elsewhere, Joe Biden has had a candid discussion with the UK Prime Minister regarding Northern Ireland, that's according to the White House.
A spokesperson for the White House, notes the US President urged Boris Johnson to protect the Good Friday Agreement with deep sincerity.
Europe correspondent with 'Euronews', Shona Murray, says Brexit dominated a lot more than anyone expected at the G7 Summit:
