Calls claims "hoax & a lie"
Donald Trump has answered questions under oath about an alleged rape which took place in the 1990s.
The 76 year-old denies the claims made by E. Jean Carroll, calling them a "hoax and a lie".
Ms. Carroll is accusing the former United States President of sexually assaulting her in a dressing room in a department store.
She launched legal action in 2019 - five months after Mr. Trump denied raping her.
Trump noted at the time the now 78 year-old was "not my type".
In a statement on behalf of Ms. Carroll her spokesperson noted, “We’re pleased that on behalf of our client, E Jean Carroll, we were able to take Donald Trump’s deposition today”.
Alina Habba, a lawyer representing Trump, has previously called the case "entirely without merit".
