British PM to hold news briefing at 5pm.

Public Health England revealed 4 people have died with the Indian Covid-19 variant, in the UK.

There are reports UK government scientists want to extend the vaccine rollout - to all adults - in areas struggling with the mutation.

The British Prime Minister is to hold a Downing Street news conference at 5pm, and is expected to discuss efforts to tackle its spread.

The UK's Vaccines minister, Nadhim Zahawi, says the easing of lockdown on Monday is still on course:

In Northern Ireland this afternoon, 96 new cases of Covid-19 were notified, with no additional deaths reported.

39 patients are in hospital with the virus, in the North - just 3 in intensive care.

Over 1.5 million vaccines have been administered in Northern Ireland.
